FAQ

What do you mean by digital jukebox?

Essentially a custom-built computer capable of archiving and playing your entire music collection in the audio format of your choosing. Interfaces can vary, but are usually built around Windows XP and the Xlobby frontend running a custom "skin" of my own design.

What kind of parts go into a RePhil?

Every RePhil is unique and customized. Some have touchscreen interfaces, some do not. Some have onboard amps and speakers, some must be used in conjuction with separate amps and speakers. The For Sale page lists any currently available models and their features and capabilities.

I have an old Philco. Do you accept commissions?

Absolutely. Depending on the size of the unit, shipping may prove to be prohibitively expensive, but if you happen to live near Richmond, VA I am pretty confident we can work something out.

Do you destroy working radios?

Absolutely not. All RePhils utilize the shells of unworking radios. I would never break something to make it something else.

Do you ever just refinish to their original factory condition?

No, that is not something I am interested in doing. There are a number of people who can do that for you. Peruse the links section at top right for some leads.
